This time, I enjoyed a delicious lunch at Bunjiro Asahimachi branch, known for its tasty tonkatsu (pork cutlet)!
In conclusion, "Bunjiro's Asahimachi branch is truly exceptional! The meat is tender thanks to careful preparation, and the tonkatsu batter is superb! The way the shrimp tempura is fried is also excellent! Next time I visit, I would like to try the karaage (Japanese fried chicken) that everyone recommended, and the newly available minced meat cutlet!"
It's also easily accessible from Nagasaki Station, just a 10 to 15-minute walk across the Asahi Bridge!
We have a parking lot that can accommodate about 7 cars, but please note that it is often crowded!
Also, there's a pachinko parlor next door, but please don't park there.
I absolutely love Bunjiro's tonkatsu and shrimp tempura, so this time, we visited as a way to entertain guests from out of town (my wife's mother and her sister and her husband)!
The restaurant has seven tables for four people (three of which are tatami rooms), one table for two people, and four counter seats!
It's a fairly spacious place with a total of 34 seats, but it tends to get crowded, especially on weekdays, because they usually offer a great value lunch menu!

I'm not sure why, but I think the way tonkatsu is prepared and fried varies depending on the cook.
My wife changed her order from "fried shrimp" to "shrimp cutlet" this time!
Pork loin cutlet (small, 120g) + shrimp cutlet lunch: 1580 yen
You can get shrimp cutlets for the same price, but I definitely prefer the fried shrimp!
It really depends on your preference, so try both!
