It was truly exciting! The Yatsushiro Fireworks Festival was amazing!!
This time we will introduce you to the Yatsushiro Fireworks Festival, which will be held on October 18th, 2025!

Although I couldn't go in 2024 due to other commitments, I
was able to adjust my schedule for 2025, so I went to Yatsushiro!!
Rain was forecast for October 18th, 2025, and we were worried
about what would happen, but we were very lucky that the rain clouds
avoided the venue and it didn't get too heavy!!
▼Let me introduce it to you!
First, we traveled from Nagasaki to Fukuoka to meet up with my wife's mother at her parents' home!
This mother from Fukuoka is a huge fireworks fan, and she loves fireworks just as much as I do (lol).
Then, take the Shinkansen from Shin-Tosu straight to Shin-Yatsushiro Station!
Afterwards, we took the train to Yatsushiro Station.
Then we walked to the venue on the banks of the Kuma River!
It takes about 10 minutes from Yatsushiro Station to the Kuma River.
From there, it takes about 20 minutes to get to the
Yatsushiro Fireworks Festival venue, so it's about a 30-minute walk.
Google Maps says it takes 18 minutes, but it was crowded so it took about that long!
There will also be various stalls set up on the way to the venue!
And then we arrived at the Kuma River!
As you can see, there are clouds and it's not raining, but it looks like it might.
Cross the Kuma River Bridge to the Yatsushiro Fireworks Festival!
There are already quite a few people here!
It was around 4pm and the place was pretty full!
The west side venue is also very crowded!
There are quite a few people reserving spots!
There will be a drone show for Otsuka Pharmaceutical's
Oronamin C, and we will all sing along to KAN's "Love Will Win" in the
"Big Sky Choir"!
I'm looking forward to this!
Then, at 6:00pm, the opening draw show began!

While I was thinking about this, fireworks started going off one after another (lol)
As expected from the Yatsushiro Fireworks Festival (lol)
After that, it was a complete disaster right from the opening (lol)
It was so cool!!

At the Yatsushiro Fireworks Festival, you can see super
spectacular fireworks that are "level-one from the opening to the
finale"!
This is the only national fireworks competition in western
Japan, and the high level of the event, which brings together some of
the best fireworks artists in the country, was also generously poured
into the opening performance!
Next, star mines and the competition's No. 5 and No. 10
fireworks were launched one after the other, and star mines were
launched in between, creating a lot of excitement!

The fireworks continued to go up and it was amazing!
It was so much fun, I'll definitely come back to the Yatsushiro Fireworks Festival next year!
