[Ramen] Introducing Maruko Ramen Center's recommended menu item, "Barikata/Abura-Koku"!
This time, we will introduce Maruko Ramen Center!
Conclusion: "When it comes to Maruko Ramen Center, I recommend ordering the ramen in the "Barikata, Greasy" style! You can enjoy the refreshing Maruko ramen with a slightly richer flavor!"
This time, I would like to talk about my favorite ramen
shop, Maruko Ramen Center, which I used to go to often since I was a
child, as my mother's family home is in Kiyama Town!
I've been going there since I was little, and I still visit
it often because it's close to my parents' house. It's a highly
recommended restaurant!
It is still a very popular restaurant today, but we would like to explain it to you again!
▼What kind of restaurant is Maruko Ramen Center?
This is a very famous and large store located on National
Route 3, on the border between Saga and Fukuoka prefectures. The store
has undergone a major renovation to become what it is today! There are
always many cars parked there, with people of all ages and genders, and
as it is located on National Route 3, there is even space to park large
trucks!
▼【Point 1】It's cheap and fast!
The biggest appeal of Maruko Ramen Center is that their
ramen is very cheap at just 540 yen! And even if there are a lot of
customers, the ramen comes out very quickly after you order! You enter
the store, buy a ticket, and are shown to your seat, but the turnover is
incredibly fast! Once you sit down, your piping hot ramen is served in
no time! It's perfect for when you're short on time or want to eat right
away! Also, even if there is a line, the turnover is fast and there are
150 seats, so you won't have to wait an hour!
▼【Point 2】This is Kyushu! Tonkotsu Ramen
The soup is a cloudy "tonkatsu" (pork bone) soup, a classic
Kyushu ramen found on the border between Saga and Fukuoka prefectures!
Thanks to the ultra-high pressure cooking method, it is 100% pork bone,
but has no odor, and is refreshing, white, and creamy! Maruko Ramen is
characterized by its ease of drinking! My children also love the taste!
My recommendation is to add a lot of oil, which is called "abura-koku"
(lots of oil)!
The noodles are thin and straight "straight noodles"! These
thin noodles mix well with the pork bone soup and are easy to eat! I
recommend the "Barikata" style! I like to enjoy the firmness of the
noodles!
▼[Point 3] It's extremely popular among truck drivers and people of all ages!
The store's parking lot is very spacious, and can
accommodate many large trucks! There is a median strip on National Route
3 on the opposite side of the store, but you can park on either side.
Truck drivers from far away have been stopping by here for a long time!
In the past, the store was open 24 hours a day and was often crowded
even at night, but now it is open from 9am to 9pm, and is closed on
Tuesdays! It's also nice that it's open from 9am!
▼[Point 4] Enjoy the side dishes too!
In addition to ramen, other popular menu items include
gyoza, fried rice (fried rice), champon, and kashiwa onigiri (chicken
rice rice balls). Many people order them as a set with ramen!
My standard order is ramen (very firm, oily) + extra noodles (lol).
To summarise briefly…
Maruko Ramen Center is
- A cheap, fast and delicious pork bone ramen restaurant loved by everyone!
- There is a large parking lot, and many people gather there, including truck drivers and families!
- The easy-to-drink pork bone soup and thin noodles are the best!
This ramen shop is a representative of Saga Prefecture and
is extremely popular not only with locals but also with people who come
from far away! Please give it a try!
▼Let me introduce it to you!
It is located on the prefectural border between Saga and Fukuoka on National Route 3!
You'll find it easily with this yellow and red sign!
There is also a parking lot across the median strip from this store!
This time, I visited around 11:30 on a Sunday, and although
there were about 20 people in line, I was able to enter the store in
about 15 minutes!
As expected, the turnover rate!
It is said that there are 150 seats, but I have never counted
them to see if there are actually that many. I think there are about
that many.
Once inside the store, you will see a menu and a ticket machine!
This is the ticket machine!
There are two available and they are available for purchase with cash!
The main ramen is on the top shelf!
Ramen 540 yen, Char Siu Ramen 650 yen, Special Ramen 650 yen,
Full Stomach Ramen 690 yen, Full Stomach Ramen (with raw egg) 750 yen,
Wonton Ramen 710 yen, 8 gyoza 360 yen, Ramen set meal 920 yen, Mini soup
250 yen, Extra noodles 120 yen!
I've been going there since I was a child, and I always order ramen + extra noodles!
I remember my father often ordering the Manpuku Ramen with a raw egg.
The middle section of the ticket machine is mainly for side dishes!
The menu includes fried rice for 600 yen, champon for 700
yen, Chinese rice bowl for 730 yen, sauce fried noodles for 700 yen, and
crispy fried noodles for 680 yen!
I looked at the lineup on the ticket machine again, and it
was like, "Oh, they have salads (lol)." I've never ordered one (lol).
[Bottom] Maruko Ramen Center ticket machine
At the bottom, there is a takeaway ticket machine and receipts can also be issued!
At Maruyuki Ramen Center, you can also purchase takeout food from the ticket vending machine!
Ramen is 540 yen, extra noodles are 120 yen!!
What a reasonable price!
Recently, there are many ramen dishes in the 1000 yen range,
but it's great to be able to eat delicious ramen at this price!
The restaurant is lively and the ramen is served at a high turnover rate.
There are many people coming alone, and people of all ages and genders come!
We were there too, but there were also many families with children!
The classic "Harihari Pickles" and "Pickled Ginger"!
If you add this, the color of the ramen will change, so I don't add it.
My mother always adds pickled ginger to it (lol).
And it's here━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━!!
Maruko Ramen Center's recommended menu item is the very firm, oily ramen!
Look at the picture! Isn't there a lot of oil? (lol)
Since ancient times, when you ask "Can I have more oil?", the
answer has always been "rich oil"! So I say "rich oil", but I haven't
seen any blog posts about ordering this, so please try ordering "rich
oil"!
▼Ramen's char siu
▼ Extra noodles, very firm
▼Maruko Ramen Center Champon
▼Maruko Ramen Center fried rice
▼Ramen's char siu
The tender pork slices are indescribable!
It feels like they've used everything, and the flavor seems to dissolve into the soup!
I don't know if it's dissolving in the soup (lol)
Extra noodles are very firm for 120 yen!!
I'll pour some sauce over the barikata!
In the past, this sauce was given in a bottle-like
container, but now it is poured on when the extra noodles are served.
Maruko Ramen Center Champon 700 yen!
This is also a piping hot champon that has been thoroughly cooked!
It's packed with vegetables!
It feels like tasty vegetables are simmered in a cloudy soup!
Maruko Ramen Center's fried rice is 600 yen!
This fried rice is simple and delicious!
It's a classic to eat with ramen!
You can also eat it by dipping it in soup!!
Wow, it was still as delicious as ever!
It's just as delicious as it was when I was a kid!
My recommended menu item is "Ramen," but when ordering, be sure to ask for
"Aburakoku (extra oil)" !
Thank you for reading to the end!
Thank you for your continued support!
